US President Donald Trump has published his list of winners of the Fake News Awards.

US President Donald Trump has announced the winners of his 'Fake News Awards', but the list will neither shock nor surprise you.

The website crashed within seconds of Trump tweeting the link, but once inside, users got a list of headlines that Trump says were false.

It's unclear if the list, from one to 11, is in order of the most fake news outlet, or the fakest story, or is just a random collection of bad headlines. But the candidates feature regularly in Trump's Twitter rants.

THE FAKIES WINNERS

For saying on the day of Trump's 'historic, landslide victory' the economy would never recover.

2. ABC News

For sending markets into a 'downward spiral' with false report on Trump, Russia.

3. CNN

For 'FALSELY' reporting Trump and Donald J Trump Jr had access to hacked files from Wikileaks.

4. Time Magazine

For 'FALSELY' reporting Trump had removed a bust of Martin Luther King Jr from the Oval Office.

5. Washington Post

For 'FALSELY' reporting Trump's 'massive sold-out rally' in Florida was empty.

6. CNN

For editing a video 'to make it appear President Trump defiantly overfed fish during a visit with the Japanese prime minister. Japanese prime minister actually led the way with the feeding'.

7. CNN

For 'FALSELY' reporting about Anthony Scaramucci's meeting with a Russian, but then retracting it due to 'a significant breakdown in process'.

8. Newsweek

For reporting the Polish first lady did not shake Trump's hand.

9. CNN

Falsely reporting former FBI Director James Comey would dispute Trump's claim that he was told he's not under investigation.
