[RENDER] 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

The fourth generation A-Class has already received its first tuning job… well, sort of, because it’s just a rendering of Merc’s new compact hatch. Besides the slammed body, matte grey wrap, and black lines added to the lower part of the doors, the wheels are what set this compact hatchback apart in XTomi’s rendering.

Signed by Vossen, and part of their LC-105T series, the rims can be had from € 1,300 (US$ 1,592) each. They’re available in no less than 48 color choices, from 19 to 24 inches in size, and they already equip several vehicles, including the Lexus RC, Porsche 911 and BMW M3. While digital artists play with the new A-Class, Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to launch it in different markets, including Europe and Canada.

The United States will have to make do without the Audi A3 Sportback and BMW 1-Series challenger, but we will eventually get the four-door sedan version, most likely later this year. Europeans will be able to choose between several petrol and diesel powertrains. The lineup will include the 1.4-liter unit, with 160 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-liter with 221 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The new A-Class will also use the Daimler-Renault-developed 1.3-liter petrol engine, and it will likely gain at least one more diesel unit.

The AMG A35 and AMG A45 will serve as the range-topping members of the family, while later on Mercedes-Benz is expected to launch plug-in hybrid and electric variants of the compact car as well.
