The Koenigsegg Agera RS

The Agera RS is a mid-engined sports car made by Swedish car manufacturer Koenigsegg. The name Agera comes from the Swedish verb 'agera' which means 'to act” or 'to take action'.

In early development the car was fitted with a 4.7-litre V8 engine but it was replaced with a 5.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine for the production version of the car.

The Koenigsegg powerplant has 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts, and dry sump lubrication.

Power output – gasoline – 865 kW (1160Hp)
at 7800 rpm – redline at 8250 rpm
Torque: 1000 Nm from 2700 to 6170 rpm
Max torque – 1280 Nm at 4100 rpm

The 2,932-pound Agera sprints from zero to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 273 mph.
Huge ventilated ceramic disc brakes on all four corners enable the Agera to accelerate from zero to 124 mph and come to a full stop in just 12.6 seconds. Somewhere north of 100 mph the car’s aerodynamic shape begins to exert significant downforce (660 pounds at 155 mph).

The Agera R will set you back around $2.8 million or so.
